Travels to Kwethluk

Hi everyone!  Here are some photos of our fun travels to Kwethluk.  We started bright and early in Juneau and arrived in Anchorage with plenty of time to drink Starbucks, and eat Cinnabon, Mcdonalds and Quiznos.  Our flight was only slightly delayed to Bethel but we made it to Kwethluk with plenty of sunshine.  It has warmed up to 20 degrees here.  We flew in a 6 seater bush plane.  The kids of Kwethluk met us at the airport with a welcome sign and a snow machine and a sled to transport us in.  It was the first time any of us had ridden in a sled before.  We spent the afternoon going on a photo scavenger hunt where we had to find boat motors, two people riding on a snow mobile, the post office, the police station, basketball hoop, etc.  The boys won:(  We ate spaghetti dinner and home made dinner rolls at the teacher, Kristen's house.  We call her Big K so we don't confuse her with our little K.  There is also a medium K.  We finished the night with a fun game of Apples to Apples with the Kwethluk kids.  We are having a spend over all week long in the schools library.  When we come home we will show you our wonderful homemade kuspuks.

Ms. G has finally learned how to be cool.  She has promised to read the Hunger Games.  May the odds be ever in her favor.
